The development of LSI was carried out by experts of the scientific production corporation “Precision Equipment Systems” “part of Roscosmos”. The station itself is an add-on to the GLONASS system and aims to provide end users with high-precision navigation using Precise Point Positioning technology.

BIS continuously monitors the spacecraft’s open signals from the GLONASS, GPS, Galileo and Beidou satellite systems to measure current navigation parameters, receive navigation messages from the satellites, and transmit measurement results and navigation data to an online processing center, the release said.
