By November, the government mobilized 416 million euros as part of the Digital Kit program which represents 13.5% of the 3.067 million foreseen in the budget for an initiative financed by the European Union through the Next Generation EU funds. According to the response registered in the Congress of Deputies, to which Europa Press had access, the implementation of digitization solutions in companies that benefit from the support is channeled through digitization agents attached to the program. As of November, the number of active affiliate digitization agents is 9,500.
The Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, recently explained that the Digital Kit program has received more than 228,000 applications for the amount of 1.575 million euros. According to company size, 78,000 applications came from companies with between 10 and 49 workers; 70,000 requests in the class of three to ten employees and almost 79,000 requests in the class of microenterprises with zero to three employees.
The initiative aims to digitize small and medium-sized enterprises and freelancers On the entire national territory. Likewise, the program aims to support the digital transformation of small companies, micro companies and the self-employed and to accompany them in adopting digital solutions that increase their level of digital maturity.
