The last of us part 1
The Last of Us is definitely one of the most successful games to come out for the Sony PlayStation consoles – it was even used as the basis for an HBO series. However, Sony clearly wants to reach an even wider audience by releasing the first part of the game on PC. We’ve just learned the hardware requirements of the title – what graphics card and CPU do we need?
The Last of Us Part 1 PC Requirements. What graphics card at minimum settings?
The hardware requirements of PC gaming are constantly increasing. This should not surprise anyone, because the manufacturers are trying to improve the graphic effects so that they are as realistic as possible. Ray-tracing technologies are used frequently and texture resolutions are also increasing – because 1440p and 4K monitors are gaining popularity.
The Last of Us Part 1 for PC is no different. For basic gaming, at low graphics settings at 720p and 30 FPS, you’ll need an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core i7-4770K processor combined with an AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics card in the 4GB VRAM version or a GeForce GTX 970 or GTX 1050 Ti – also with 4 GB.
These cards have their glory years behind them – they were released more than 5 years ago, and at that time they were not among the most powerful systems (well, except for the GTX 970, which premiered in the second half of 2014, and then was one of the top picks for games). For this we need at least 16 GB of RAM, 100 GB of SSD space and Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or later.
To play The Last of Us Part 1 on high settings in 1080P resolution at 60 FPS, we need a Ryzen 5 3600X or i7-8700 and a Radeon RX 6600 XT or … defunct RX 5800 XT chip – although this is likely for RX 5700XT. In the stable version, NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super and RTX 3060 (8 GB) will allow you to get such settings.
Those who want to play The Last of Us Part 1 on PC in higher quality should have a really good PC
To play comfortably in 1440P at 60 FPS on high settings you will need a Ryzen 5 5600X or i7-9700K connected …. with a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or Radeon RX 6750 XT and 32 GB of RAM. The Last of Us Part 1 at 4K ultra detail settings will require an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X/Intel Core i5-12600K processor paired with a GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT cardwhich cost 7 and 5 thousand PLN respectively. Although it should be noted that in order to achieve 60 FPS with this Radeon, you will need to use the FSR technology of the quality preset.
As you can see, the requirements are not low – you need to prepare really powerful equipment. The Last of Us Part 1 will be released on PC on March 28, 2023.
