South Molton’s Macmillan Christmas Fair returns on Wednesday November 16 from 10am to 3pm in the Assembly Rooms, raising money for national cancer charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
The annual Christmas market has been canceled for the past two years due to the pandemic, but this year it’s back and bigger than ever. North Devon Macmillan fundraising group is asking everyone to come and pick up some festive gifts and support people living with cancer.
John Dodds of Macmillan Fundraising Group in North Devon said: “Everyone is looking forward to our Christmas Fair, the most festive date in our fundraising calendar. This year we are reviving the fair at South Molton Assemblies as we have had to cancel the last couple of years due to Covid.
The annual Christmas Fair is organized by Macmillan North Devon Fundraising Group, which has been raising money for Macmillan for 30 years and has raised over £520,000 in that time.
John added: “Macmillan does everything it can to support people with cancer, but these people rely almost entirely on public donations. That’s why it’s never been more important to support them and ensure that Macmillan can continue to provide the services that people living with cancer and their families desperately need. We hope to see many of you at the fair.”
There will be over 20 stalls selling festive food, drink and unique gifts including local gins, designer jewellery, silk flowers, illustrated children’s story books, bone china designs, velvet and silk women’s fashion, medicinal honey and much more. All stalls donate 10% of their proceeds to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Entry with lunch (homemade sandwiches and a glass of wine and coffee) is £15 or entry only £7.
