The new JBL headphones are gear for console gamers and PC gamers

JBL is a brand that we primarily associate with great Bluetooth speakers, but on the other hand, the company also makes audio gear for gamers. The offer includes a line of Quantum headphones, complemented by two new, similar models for consoles. Here are the Quantum 360P and 360X – how much do they cost and what do they offer?

JBL goes one step further and launches its latest headphone proposals. The Quantum 360P and 360X models are devices for gamers who are looking for universal equipment that will pass the test of games on consoles as well as on computers or smartphones.

The version annotated 360P was created to work with PlayStation consoles, while the 360X – with Xbox consoles, which is further indicated by color accents, where 360P is black, white and blue and 360X is black and green. The differences don’t end there though, as while both variants support surround sound technology, the 360P comes with the 3D sound of the PlayStation 5 and the 360X comes with the surround sound of the Xbox Series X|S and Windows Sonic consoles compatible.

Both JBL proposals are based on dynamic transducers with a diameter of 40mm with a frequency response of 20 – 20,000 Hz, supported by JBL Quantum SOUND technology, which aim to provide immersion in the game. Since these are headphones for gamers, a lossless, fast 2.4 GHz wireless connection and a battery that allows up to 22 hours of work on a single charge (it’s 26 hours with Bluetooth) couldn’t be missing. We will also connect the headphones to our equipment via a 3.5mm jack.

The manufacturer has implemented a useful 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connection technique here, which allows sound to be transmitted simultaneously from two devices – a console via 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth, for example, from a phone. The JBL Quantum 360P and 360X feature a detachable shotgun microphone with Voice Focus and Quick Mute.

For consoles and computers as found

The headphones are identical and the choice of model depends on the platform we are playing on. It is worth noting, however, that both variants of the headphones are also compatible with PCs running Windows and macOS, as well as with the Nintendo Switch console (also via a 2.4GHz connection). For the rest of the devices, you have to use a cable or Bluetooth.

For PC users, the manufacturer has also prepared special JBL Quantum Engine software that will allow us to customize the sound of the headphones and microphone. How much will you pay for this device? 619 PLN, regardless of the version.
