The São Paulo Court of Justice (TJSP) overturned the ban on Monday night and announced the Rodoanel Norte auction scheduled for today (14). The decision was taken by Ricardo Anafe, president of the São Paulo TJ, in response to the São Paulo government.

This news was announced by the Governor of Sao Paulo, Tarcio de Freitas (Republican), who will attend the auction at 14.00 in B3. Freitas, who rose to prominence leading privatizations of Jair Bolsonaro’s infrastructure ministry, is expected to replicate the style of privatizations during his term as governor.

The northern section of the Rodoanel is the last of the road to be completed. Conceived as a 176km ring road encircling Greater São Paulo, the northern section is 44km long and began construction in 2013, but delays meant the project was never completed. The project envisages the concession of public operation, maintenance and investment services necessary for the operation of the road system for a period of 31 years.
