TikTok Premium is coming. You will have to pay for it

One of the fastest growing social platforms in the world, TikTok is constantly looking for new ways to monetize content. Creators can already accept gifts from their followers, but now the portal is introducing the ability to create premium videos. You will have to pay to access them.

From time to time, TikTok improves its platform by introducing new products to it. We’ve recently informed you about plans to introduce changes that may prove beneficial to both developers and users.

The first is to be able to edit posts. Previously, the creator had to remove the entire post and re-insert it if they forgot to add something relevant to the video description. The new feature will allow making corrections and changes to the description of videos after they are published. In turn, many users can be satisfied with the possibility of automatic scrolling and testing, tested by the platform save videos without watermark on TikTok.

Now the platform has announced changes that will help creators monetize the content they share. Some time ago they appeared on TikTok Collections. These are a kind of playlists to which the creator can assign the videos they have added. A new feature announced by the company viz Series will work based on an already known solution collection. It will differ mainly in that ayou will have to pay to access them.

How much does it cost?

Any creator who decides to create their own series to make it available on TikTok for a fee will be able to include up to 80 materials, up to 20 minutes each. Admittedly, this is quite a lot, as it generally allows the creators to cram over 26 hours of film into one series.

Each of the creators will be able to determine the access rate themselves, which can reach a maximum of 190 USD, which is equivalent to ~ 845 PLN. Fans will be able to purchase access through direct links in the video or on the creator’s profile.

Answer Series currently only available to select artists. In the coming weeks, however, it will roll out to everyone who applies to test the new feature. It is not yet known what commission percentage the platform will charge creators for premium content they publish.
