Thornton terror threat: major threat from Daesh/ISIS extremists

In the latest update on the Thornton terror threat, it was revealed that the main threat is from Daesh extremists linked to Daesh (formerly known as ISIL or ISIS).

This follows the brutal kidnapping and murder of two South African-British nationals in 2018.

Botanist Rod Sanders, 74, and his wife Rachel, 63, were brutally murdered in February 2018, but their brutal murder trial only started earlier this month at Durban High Court .
