Hoda, 58, wiped away tears during the event after an audience member took to the stage, a local reporter told The Sun.

A woman took to the microphone to tell the story of how her daughter died in a drunk driving accident.

“I lost my daughter in a drunk driving accident a few years ago. I don’t sleep very well, but your shows keep me going,” she told the network’s hosts.

The TV personality was moved to tears as she listened to the tragic story, hugging her mother while Bravo executive Andy Cohen signed the woman’s book.

Late last month, news broke that Today Show anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda were teaming up for another hosting gig.

BravoCon is a three-day gathering that will feature some of the network’s most popular stars.

The Watch What Happens Live host will ask fans burning questions.

The two women will be hosting the New York panel for all three days.

Savannah and Hoda became the main anchors of the Today show in 2018, following the departure of Matt Lauer.

They’ve also done solo projects outside of the show, and Hoda recently narrated the audiobook edition of the popular children’s book Goodnight Moon, which was released on September 13.

Hoda’s version arrived to celebrate the book’s 75th anniversary, since it was first published in 1947.

The presenter shared: “When I first saw Goodnight Moon and read it, I was like, ‘What is it about this book that is captivating for children?’

“I realized that’s all. It’s a child’s room, it’s a child’s brain, and it’s the calming effect that words on a page can have.”

After the video ended, Hoda continued to rave about the book as she sat on the couch with several of her co-hosts.

A special anniversary edition was released on August 30, and Hoda’s audio version dropped a few weeks later.

Her co-host Craig Melvin aired her new project.

“Here’s the best part, you get to wake up with Hoda. [on Today]and Hoda will also help you put your children to bed at night.’

Craig blurted out, “You have the perfect voice for an audiobook.”

In early September, Savannah also announced her own solo career move.

Filling in for Carson Daly during the Pop Start entertainment news segment, host Sheinelle Jones helped share co-host Savannah’s big news.

The 44-year-old smiled and said in a singsong voice as she got to the latest pop culture news for the day: “Finallyyyyy! Princesses wear pants.”

Sheinelle continued: “This is a very exclusive Pop Start announcement. The best-selling book series from our very own Savannah and Allison Oppenheim is coming to the small screen.”
