Twitter Responds to Musk’s Petition Against Speedy Trial

Twitter responded Monday to Elon Musk’s motion against the company’s request to expedite a decision on whether to close its $44 billion acquisition, saying it “fails on every level.”

The social media company said in a Delaware court filing that the public dispute is hurting Twitter every day Musk is violating the merger agreement and reiterated that the court should set the trial in September on an accelerated schedule.

A remote hearing is scheduled for Tuesday morning (19) to speed up the case at Twitter’s request.
