With her statement, Cassidy Hutchinson made few friends in the Republican camp and angered the former president. The counterattack was not late.

“Former US President Donald Trump has brutally attacked a former White House staffer who testified against him before the Capitol Attack Investigation Committee.”

“The woman is ‘crazy’ and lives in a ‘fantastic world,'” Trump said in an interview with Newsmax, a populist right-wing TV channel. “He has serious problems, I would say so – mental problems.” On Tuesday, 26-year-old Cassidy Hutchinson made a big noise, speaking in front of the tribune.

According to Hutchinson, Trump was aware of the possible violence on January 6, 2021. He knew that the protesters were armed. He described the various scenes he said he witnessed at the White House ել uttering conversations he said he had heard.

Trump denies attacking drivers

On the other hand, the Republicans and Trump accuse him only of having his information second hand. Trump has repeatedly stressed that he hardly knows Hutchinson. This served as an aide to the White House for its Vice President Mark Meadows.

First of all, Trump focused on a part of the statement that Hutchinson actually described only in a conversation with his colleague պատասխան the official in charge of the Secret Service. Accordingly, it is said that on January 6, 2021, Trump tried to catch the driver’s wheel with his armored SUV. Trump denies that. Several media outlets quoted anonymous sources as saying that two senior Secret Service officials would also deny the allegations. None of them, however, has publicly commented on the issue.

On January 6, 2021, Trump supporters brutally stormed the parliament building in the capital, Washington. The Congress gathered there to confirm the victory of Trump’s Democratic rival Joe Biden in the previous presidential elections. Five people were killed as a result of the riots, including one policeman. Trump recently urged his supporters during a rally that his victory in the elections had been stolen. The committee is working on the attack.
