Jayland Walker was killed by police after being chased for a traffic violation

During a press conference, the police in Akron, in the US state of OHIO, showed security camera footage from the uniforms of agents involved in the pursuit of Jayland Walker, the 25-year-old who was shot by authorities. The body was found with about 60 gunshot wounds last week. In one of the images, the victim can be seen jumping out of the car and running away from the police after committing a traffic violation. In the interview, agents claimed that one of the videos shows a shot from inside the car being driven by the boy.

The family’s attorney, Bobby DiCello, said the footage was brutal and that his team saw no evidence the young man fired any shots. Jayland only had one traffic ticket and no criminal history. The two agents in the footage have been removed pending the completion of the investigation. This Sunday, the 3rd, protesters held a peaceful protest to demand answers to the young man’s death.
