Walking just 11 minutes a day prevents early death. Did you know?
So little time that can change your life. A simple 11-minute walk every day of the week can reduce an individual’s chance of premature death.
Here’s what one discovered new research done in the UK. According to scientists from the University of Cambridge and Belfast, 77 minutes of vigorous physical activity per week can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by 17% and cancer by 7%. How wonderful!
Research published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine provides an alternative to the average time recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). So, needless to say more, the time has passed, eh?
new study
In a review of the scientific literature published to date on the relationship between physical activity and heart disease, the researchers examined more than 196 articles, including more than 30 million participants from 94 large cohorts.
The study found that two out of three individuals reported an activity level of less than 150 minutes per week, and another point was that one in 10 people managed to maintain a rhythm of more than 300 minutes per week.
However, although the health benefits are proportional to the amount of time spent exercising, half the amount recommended by the WHO reduced the risk of early death by 23%, equivalent to walking just 11 minutes a day.
“If you’re someone for whom the idea of 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity per week is a little daunting, our findings should be good news,” said Søren Brage, one of the study’s researchers.

Physical activity
Everyone knows that to stay healthy, you need to exercise not only the mind, but also the body. Those who have not had enough time to devote to physical activity may also benefit from the new research finding.
“Doing some physical activity is better than doing nothing. This is also a good starting point. if you find that 75 minutes a week is manageable, try gradually building it up to the recommended amount,” says Soren.
Among the activities that increase the heart rate, the researcher listed: dancing, walking, cycling, playing tennis, among others, which can help prevent early death.
For the researcher, moderate-intensity exercise is best for reducing future problems, such as cardiovascular disease. So you moved today?
