Joshua Weems keep fighting Dana White’s Contender Series Last year and missing Fernie Garcia since then. He’s back on the board with two wins in a row. Last June, Weems won Fury FC’s bantamweight title by defeating another Contender Series veteran, Mo Miller. He’s currently fighting briefly at UFC Vegas 63 against Christian Rodriguez. Rodriguez was originally supposed to fight Garrett Armfield. But Armfield suffered a staph infection.

What Weems will look like in the UFC:

Weems have a lot of holes, but at the same time there are things. Plenty to him. At the foot, Weems throws with a lot of productivity. Weems are good fighters and wrestlers. as he had to surrender massively, either on top or on his back. Weems also had a solid gas tank to go three rounds. He showed his ability to fight from behind and was in a bad position to finally find an end.

That being said, Weems had a good performance, but other than that, his defense was lacking. I like that he starts fast, makes a lot of noise, and kicks hard on his legs. Weems raised his hand low and when he was attacked His body language was muted. He curls up and tends to melt under pressure. In addition to the outstanding defense is not good. His takedown defense was also lackluster, saying Weems was doing well and locking large deliveries from his guard.

Weems are dropped and finished and wasted his time in battle. The point is, you can’t count Weems out of battle. His surrender battle was extremely dangerous. He doesn’t have the power to knock out a single punch. But can beat guys with pressure and volume. I like Weems and he runs well. But his lack of defense would deter him. I saw him struggling to win the UFC.

How he paired up with Rodriguez:

Like Weems, Rodriguez has volume on his feet. The difference is that while they’re both high-volume fighters, Rodriguez throws more. Rodriguez takes more angles and his workouts could be a big factor. I’m sure Rodriguez is a better wrestler than Weems. It depends if he can stay away from Rodriguez’s passing effort. Gaze or not I believe these two will lead a fierce battle. But I believe Rodriguez is better than anywhere. In addition to the submissions, Rodriguez has this fight covered.
