Besides the price, the connection speed is the most important aspect from the customer’s point of view when choosing the internet provider. SpeedTest.pl has published new rankings of data transfer speeds on home and mobile Internet. T-Mobile topped two lists, but the competition isn’t far behind.
Which provider had the fastest mobile Internet in November?
The website Speedtest.pl publishes the results of Internet speed tests every month. The most recently published statement is based on data collected in November 2022. It is noteworthy that the platform takes the measurements in 3G, 4G and 5G networks into account and provides aggregated results on this basis.
In the latest listing T-Mobile took first place in average data download speed, which was 46.1 Mbps. This month, the operator has to give way to data upload speed (11.6 Mbit/s) – T-Mobile has been overtaken by Play, where the result was 11.8 Mbit/s. In terms of delay, the winner of the ranking (30 ms) was beaten by Orange (28 ms).
Play followed in second place with an average download speed of 42.7 Mbit/s and a delay of 30 ms. The podium of the ranking is closed by Orange – on this network, the data download speed tests gave an average result of 42.3 Mbit/s and an upload speed of 11.3 Mbit/s. An interesting situation concerns the Plus network, which took last place in this ranking (download – 42 Mbit/s, upload – 10.3 Mbit/s, delay – 37 ms). Such a position in the ranking may come as a surprise, since the average results should be inflated by 5G Internet, which is much faster on Plus than on other operators.
With 5G Plus there is no competition
Just like last month’s 5G ranking, Plus is the undisputed leader, almost doubling the average download speed of other operators. However, this should not come as a surprise, since it is the only operator in our country that has a band for the development of the 5G network.
The average download speed with 5G in the Plus network was 141.6 Mbit/s. However, the operator had to acknowledge Orange’s superiority in terms of upload speed (17.8 Mbit/s vs. 25.8 Mbit/s). Play came second with an average download speed of 73.3 Mbps and an upload speed of 21.9 Mbps. The next place in the ranking went to Orange – here the average download and upload speeds are 66 Mbit/s and 25.8 Mbit/s respectively. The November ranking is completed by T-Mobile, where the average download speed on the 5G network is 65.5 Mbit/s and the upload speed is 23.6 Mbit/s.
It’s worth noting that Plus and Play saw higher average download speeds compared to last month’s ranking. The results of the measurements in the Orange and T-Mobile networks are again slightly lower than in October.
Home Internet in Poland – November 2022
I mentioned that T-Mobile is at the top of two lists, and this is the second of them. In terms of average download speed, the operator topped the home internet ranking in Poland for November 2022 with a result of 225.1 Mbit/s. In terms of average upload speed, T-Mobile took second place with 100.9 Mbit/s. INEA ranks first in this regard, as the company’s customers often use symmetrical connections. The full ranking is as follows:
On the other hand, among the nationwide operators, the fastest average data download speed in the last month was provided by UPC, at exactly 206.8 Mbit/s. In terms of data upload speed, Netia was the best in this ranking – 63.5 Mbit/s. Notably, T-Mobile, which was ahead in other rankings, is only 8th here with download and upload results of 28.6 Mbps and 13.3 Mbps, respectively. The ranking is completed by Plus with almost 10 times fewer results than the leader of the ranking.
As in October, the ranking of nationwide FTTH fiber optic Internet providers includes only two operators. Orange delivered the highest average data download speed (255.2 Mbit/s) and the lowest delay (11 ms) in November. Netia, on the other hand, has the highest average data upload speed (94.6 Mbit/s).
It is worth noting that the nationwide operator of Speedtest.pl is defined as an operator with a share in the number of tests over 0.5% in each of at least half of the voivodeships in Poland in a certain category of the ranking. The November list includes a total of 3.7 million measurements, including 821,000 in mobile applications.
