This year, the Federal Government decided to anticipate the payment 13th salary retirees, pensioners and other beneficiaries National Institute of Social Security (INSS), just as it has been for the past two years. For this reason, the issue 14th salary🇧🇷
The proposal, since it was introduced in 2020 in the PP, is pending in the National Congress without much progress. In practice, it requires a premium to INSS insured persons, justifying the expectation of the Christmas benefit and the economic crisis.
Bill (PL) 4,367, authored by Rep. Pompeo de Mattos, brings an alternative to the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. When presented, the text provided for the payment of additional wages in 2020 and 2021, but because it was not approved in time, the dates were lost.
What does it take to get approved?
In short, the proposal continues in the House with very little progress. So far the bill (PL) has been approved only by c Constitution and Justice Commission (SC)🇧🇷 However, the last procedure can change the fate of benefit release.
It happens that the chairman of the Chamber of Deputies. Arthur Liraremoved the text from the PP agenda and submitted it to A. for analysis Special commission🇧🇷
This means that all the project’s progress in the last two years has been lost, meaning it is back to square one. So, now the proposal will go through several committees until it is approved by the deputies.
The House Speaker did not provide further details on the exclusion of the text it creates 14th salary of the agenda. However, the action may be justified by a lack of funds, as the allowance will be an annual unbudgeted supplement.
In other words, the text still has to go through a long phase before finally reaching the 14th salary for INSS pensioners and retirees. Therefore, the payment is unlikely to happen this year, as we are already in the last month.
Who is entitled to the 14th INSS salary?
If the 14th salary is approved, about 30 million policyholders will benefit, who will receive one of the following benefits:
- Sickness benefit;
- Death pension;
- Accident benefit;
