After Uber pulls out, companies will have five days to submit their proposals

After Uber withdrew its sponsorship of a leisure bike park in Sao Paulo, the city of Sao Paulo is to open from this Saturday (30), a second public notice for interested companies, who will have five days to submit their proposals.

The first public notice was opened at the end of last month, but according to today’s Official Bulletin (29), the proposals submitted by Agência Coranfa TV e Publicidade Eireli and Associação Brasileira de Ciclomobilidade – ABC were not accepted due to lack. of information.

Also, according to the publication, the Association did not submit activation costs, and since the submitted proposals did not meet the requirements for public notice, no agreement was signed.

Uber, which has had the rights to the São Paulo bike lane since 2020, announced earlier this month that it would not renew its sponsorship. According to the contract signed between the company and the municipality, an annual investment of 11.5 million rials was set.

Even without sponsorship, the city of São Paulo has guaranteed that it will continue to operate on Sundays and holidays.
