Swimbridge House care home is looking forward to hosting its annual Summer Fayre again after three years without him.
On Saturday, July 30, families, friends and other local guests are invited to join the residents and staff of the villa from 2 p.m.
There will be lots of fun activities on offer including cake and craft stalls run by family members and volunteers, raffles and delicious cream teas.
In addition, Kat Scarlet will liven up the party by singing old classics in the garden and everyone is welcome to come and dance.
All ages are welcome at the fair, after so long without it due to pandemic restrictions, everyone is invited to enjoy the day with us.
The home is committed to providing its residents with a high standard of care, including ensuring they are helped to live as independently as possible and are offered activities to provide stimulation.
The staff at the home work closely with the families of their residents to ensure they are involved in planning the care provided and are informed of their loved ones’ progress.
Days revolve around residents and their preferred routines and lifestyles to do whatever they want.
Being socially active is very important to maintaining a good quality of life and as such the home remains dedicated to ensuring residents can enjoy social activities and opportunities.
The month of June flew by and there was a lot of activity going on in the home. Jubilee celebrations during the first week of the month kept everyone busy making bunting and jubilee hats and a big outdoor dinner was held on June 3rd.
Plus there was a lot of gardening to do, as well as trips with Ernie’s home delivery van, bread baking and many other activities to enjoy now that it’s summer.
