Zandi says Meeva’s wife should be suspect

Afro-pop singer Zandie Khumalo-Gumede has questioned why Senzo Meyiwa’s wife, Mandisa Mkhize, was not investigated for her October 2014 murder.

In her exclusive interview with Slindelo Masikane, which airs on eNCA on Monday, July 18, Zandie claims that the murder of the late Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalie may have been a mistake and that Meyiwa’s mother and wife may have Ordered by Kelly Khumalo.

Before the interview aired on the DSTV channel, Zandie shared her thoughts on the Senzo Meyiwa case on Instagram.

In the post, which was accompanied by a poster of her interview, she asked why Mandisa was not listed as a suspect.

She made the same point in the interview, adding that Meeva’s mother and family should also be suspects.

“No one has seen Mandisa. No one! Why hasn’t Mandisa’s phone been taken away? Why isn’t Mandisa investigated?” she asked.

Zandi also revealed in the interview that on several occasions, she and her ex-boyfriend Longwe Twala were called by police to “interrogate” them. On the fateful day that Meyiwa was shot in Vosloorus, the Ikhwela singer was there with Longwe along with four adults and two children, whom she said she collaborated with every time.

Zandi went on to recount some of the events following the star’s death, saying she recalled being asked to make more than one statement. She said she also had to role-play with her mothers Ntombi Khumalo and Kelly and take a polygraph test.
